Understanding that everything is relative, the weather here the past few weeks has been nothing short of spectacular. Here it is mid-August and we are having perfect fall weather. Mid-to upper 70’s for highs, mid to lower 50’s at night. An over abundance of spring rain has evolved into a shortfall recently. The landscape in general needs a drink, but that is the one downside. The sky was perfectly blue again today, just a shade or two darker than than the blue paint that is in the running for the house doors. The siding is gray, the trim is white. All the decorating magazines recommend a third accent color. Black came to mind as a possibility since the barn is stained black, but it’s just not right for these doors. I brought home a quart of light blue exterior paint and took a few minutes to apply a few strokes to one of the doors, just before dark. Tomorrow morning when the sky is blue again, it will be decision time.
