Ta-da!!

There were times when it felt as if M. C. Escher and I would never reach the pinnacle of our relationship.  Perseverence however,  ultimately triumphed over discouragement.

Just a few days over six months later, it is done!  Now, what to do next–take it apart and submit someone else to six months of frustration, or, glue it together, finding a discreet corner to occasionally admire my fortitude?

H-m-m-m.  Decisions, decisions.

  1. So there was only one missing piece after all?

I say glue it! If someone else wants to do it, they can buy their own.

    • I agree. Glued together it will be. The one missing piece may still turn up–I hope. The contractor and I had a bet about which would be finished first, the puzzle or the bathroom. He teased that he was going to keep a piece so that he would win. I really hope he did. If not, it will be an easy color match to make one that works.

  2. Congratulations!!

I personally really like it…..and if I had an award for ‘patience and perseverence’ I would sent it to you!

I guess they would refer to it as the “PP” award. That sounds a bit tacky doesn’t it? :)

  3. finally done! It would have never stayed out so long… you have so very much patience. I would have been frustrated with the lack of color – it is a facinating study in degrees of shading. And of course – there would have been many more pieces lost if the project took 6 months!

    • Once again, not having as many people in and out of the door makes a big difference–didn’t have to move it for dinner! New plan is to glue to a board. All that work deserves to be preserved.
