It actually reminds me of something out of a Disney Pixar movie. The storyline goes something like this: scary looking creature with heart of gold must traverse desolate and dangerous woods to make sure the children have a Happy Holiday....

Alas I believe this is a turkey that escaped and morphed himself into something that no one would possibly consider edible for their Thanksgiving holiday meal! Mankind could not have done this - it was an act of natural transformation.

The pixel count is 3.1--not too bad to use for a convenience shot. Also, obviously makes for one less thing to carry around.

I barely have a cell phone, much less one that takes photos but I can't believe a cell phone took that photo. I think it is really sharp & clear, especially considering it was a cell phone. Maybe I need to get rid of my expensive Nikon and just buy a cell phone. :)

That sculpture looks like "Big Bird" to me. I like it - especially with the glasses. They should paint it a bright yellow!!

To be sure, there have been some fashion mistakes that have wended their way into my closet, but not this one.

Coincidentally, after first noticing them, it was only a matter of hours before I saw them on SOMEONE ELSE'S body. My original gut reaction was reinforced to the max. It was a challenge to not run screaming from the building, pointing in her direction. Ghastly fashion choice to say the least. Makes me wonder what kind of mirror she looked in before leaving the store and the house!

Talk about blowing smoke…..

Yea, sure, you didn’t buy any of those patent leather pants. You’re just trying to convince your blog visitors that if you suddenly die and the fashion police find both a black and red pair of those things hanging in your closet (assuming those things hang), that they don’t belong to you. Yea, right, of course they don’t….. :)

There is some room in the fields and woods over the hill for hunters, although they have to get permission from the landowners.

I've done polls. Anyone who's lived in this area for more than a year or so either has hit a deer or is closely acquainted with someone who has. It never fails.

Do they allow hunting around your house still? Seems to me it's getting a little built up there for folks to be running around with guns.

The cemetery down the street from my place is large enough that there's a herd of deer living in it, which is kind of neat. There are at least four or five does, and I assume a buck. They see people often enough that they're not skittish, just wary. Of course they can't be hunted there, which helps.

This morning there were three deer in the upper part of the yard, looking for the last few apples to drop from the highest branches. All three were females--the males and females run separately. The buck with the nice rack usually comes just before dark. I grew up in a family of hunters, so I am not a "deer-hugger," but I do hope they make it through hunting season. They're fun to watch.
