This morning there were three deer in the upper part of the yard, looking for the last few apples to drop from the highest branches. All three were females–the males and females run separately. The buck with the nice rack usually comes just before dark. I grew up in a family of hunters, so I am not a “deer-hugger,” but I do hope they make it through hunting season. They’re fun to watch.

Here is Arkansas, same as in your State I’m sure, some roads in the State on the Friday before opening of deer season have more traffic on them than the streets in town leading to the Malls have on them the day after Thanksgiving! Everybody, and I mean almost everybody, heading to the “deer woods” as it is so lovingly referred.

Fortunately I have never hit a deer but I have always been cautious when traveling on roads going through deer high population areas.

Helen–so far the requests have been plentiful, but finished projects are (hopefully) in the works. There has been a definite uptick in the number of requests for patterns lately–now that cooler weather is once more upon us. Keep your fingers crossed for a finished project. I will definitely let you know if we get any pictures.

My computer crashed just after I mailed you the Princess Di sweater pattern(s) and I have just now found your ‘Blog’ again. In the meantime, as an fyi to all, the screen is available in one design/color scheme only. This is a first
venture and quite an expensive one, so I tried to pick a common denominator color scheme that would
blend with many different decors.

i live in a small place and the bathroom is not an option. The litterbox has to go in the office. Are there other colors? Are there other designs? It’s a great idea!

Sandy–I love “our” purse, too, and have decided to attach the name “Alex.” Somehow, even though
it is on a woman’s purse, and the name “ALex” can be either feminine or masculine, I think of my alligator
as a him. Alex only gets to go out on very special occassions where I know he will be safe. He never fails
to stimulate conversation, which is at least half the fun of having him around!
