This mornings peak at the night’s accumulation of snow brought about the first change in the day’s agenda.  After breakfast plans switched from immediately starting to prime and paint the ceiling in the extra bedroom to clearing the driveway of 3 inches of snow.  The beautiful, heavy, wet snow that covered my very large driveway

The temperature and precipitation is supposed to vary dramatically the next few days.  Melt, re-freeze, followed by some freezing rain, then more snow.  The bottom line is that the driveway had to be cleared–no taking the chance that it might all just melt on its own.  3 inches of wet snow to be conquered.  About half way through the 2 1/2 hour job, it occurred to me that this was the perfect kind of snow for making a snow (wo)man.  If the snow had to be moved anyway, it might as well be rolled into a snow sculpture, breaking the tedium and having some fun at the same time.
